For sale is a top-of-the-line 12" Reed 2G tonearm.
The Reed 2G is a tonearm model that combines the best features of the Reed 2A and Reed 3Q tonearms and adds a few new ones.
The Reed 2G is very easy to set up and can be mounted on virtually any turntable with or without an adapter.
The tonearm is in TOP condition and comes with complete original accessories in its original packaging. A spare 9.5" tube with cabling is also included.
Like our other tonearms, the Reed 2G features 0.2mm precision VTA adjustment and the tonearm height can be adjusted from 28mm to 48mm.
The tonearm has a gimbal bearing system: the vertical axis has thrust bearings and the horizontal axis is based on thrust bearings (a bit close to the Reed 3P). Such a bearing design eliminates bearing wobble, which has a great impact on sound quality.
All Reed 2G tonearms have a unique azimuth adjustment system that allows the implementation of a tonearm with a replaceable armwand. The replaceable armwand feature allows you to change the effective length and effective weight without any problems. A high quality LEMO connector is used to connect the armwand and the tonearm body.
Like all our tonearms, the Reed 2G has replaceable headshells.
