Offered for sale is an SGM Evo edition music server at 5500 or best offer.
Designed by Emile Bok of Taiko audio, this was the last stepping stone to the current Extreme music server.
These servers eventually evolved to the current Taiko Extreme server designed by Emile Bok, who did the bulk of the technical design on the original Sound Galleries music servers.
The original SGM 2015 and Evo models were built around getting the best out of HQPlayer up-sampling, together with Roon as the front-end app, whereas the Taiko Extreme model takes the emphasis off HQPlayer. Most Extreme customers use Roon by itself, although HQPlayer is still supported for those who wish to use it.
This SGM Evo then, is the ideal server for fans of HQPlayer who want to get the best out of Roon and HQPlayer working together.
