Wilson Audio Alexia Loudspeakers (Series 1)
Condition & Finish: Mint condition (protective film still intact), year 2014, single owner; includes original packaging and accessories; finished in Obsidian black.
Ultra High-End 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker system (produced 2012–2017), designed to incorporate the time-alignment technology and components of the flagship Alexandria XLF into a more compact footprint.
Architecture & Cabinet Materials:
Three-Module Structure: Built using three independent, decoupled enclosures (Woofer, Midrange, and Tweeter modules).
X-Material: Ultra-high-density, resonant-free proprietary composite used for the woofer cabinet and tweeter structure.
S-Material: Developed specifically for the midrange baffle to enhance mechanical damping and eliminate tonal coloration.
Drivers:
Tweeter (1″): Convergent Synergy Tweeter (CST) with a silk dome (derived from the Alexandria XLF), replacing older titanium models to provide extended response without listening fatigue.
Midrange (7″): Cellulose fiber/carbon composite cone in a rear-vented enclosure to eliminate dynamic compression.
Woofers (8″ + 10″): Dual paper-pulp woofers of staggered diameters (8″ stacked over 10″) in a rear-ported aluminum bass-reflex enclosure for smooth upper-bass to midrange transition.
Aspherical Propagation Delay (Time Alignment):
Midrange and tweeter modules slide fore/aft and tilt via a stepped adjustment plate (stair-step design).
Corrects microsecond-level phase alignment based on listening distance and ear height, ensuring soundwaves from all drivers arrive at the listener simultaneously.
