Description
dCS Vivaldi Transport CD/SACD Player, Mint/Perfect condition. Single owner.
Includes original packaging, documentation, and remote control.
Price 18500€ (original 45500)
The dCS Vivaldi Transport is an ultra-high-end reference CD/SACD transport engineered by the British audio specialist dCS (Data Conversion Systems) as part of its flagship Vivaldi digital playback line.
• Disc Processing & Upsampling: Plays Red Book CDs and SACDs, utilizing proprietary dCS digital processing to stream native DSD from SACDs or upsample 16-bit/44.1 kHz CD data to DXD (24-bit/352.8 kHz) or DSD formats.
• Precision Mechanism: Features a heavy-duty disc mechanism (such as the TEAC VRDS-NEO™ drive in original models) designed to minimize optical reading jitter and mechanical vibration.
• Digital Outputs: Includes a Dual AES/EBU interface capable of transmitting dCS-encrypted DSD/DXD streams to a matching dCS DAC, along with standard AES/EBU, S/PDIF (RCA and BNC), and SDIF-2 outputs.
• Clocking & Connectivity: Features BNC Word Clock input and output connections to allow synchronization with an external master clock unit (such as the dCS Vivaldi Clock).
• Build Quality: Encased in an aerospace-grade, acoustic-damped machined aluminum chassis with separate multi-stage regulated power supplies for the drive mechanism and digital processing stages.
dCS Vivaldi Master Clock, like new, only one previous owner, original box and equipment included.
Price 11.900€.
The dCS Vivaldi Master Clock is a Grade 1 master clock generator designed to serve as the central timing reference for the flagship dCS Vivaldi digital playback system.
• Dual-Crystal Architecture: Utilizes two independent, temperature-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs)—one calibrated for 44.1 kHz base frequencies and the other for 48 kHz—to minimize timing errors (jitter) to negligible levels.
• Jitter Reduction & Sonic Impact: Synchronizing the digital sources (DAC, Transport, and Upsampler) to a single ultra-precise clock source drastically reduces phase noise and jitter, enhancing spatial imaging, instrument separation, dynamic range, and natural timbre.
• Flexible Clock Outputs: Provides two groups of independently configurable BNC Word Clock outputs, allowing it to output different frequency multiples simultaneously (e.g., 44.1 kHz to a transport and 88.2 kHz or 176.4 kHz to a DAC).
• External Reference Input: Includes an input for locking to an external 10 MHz reference source (such as atomic or rubidium clocks) for extreme precision applications.
• Chassis & Isolation: Built within a heavily damped, aerospace-grade machined aluminum chassis, featuring multi-stage power regulation to shield the delicate clock circuitry from electrical and mechanical interference.
