Riviera AFM100 Special Edition combines technical precision, raw power and musical finesse in one uncompromising design. For those who want the ultimate in Class A amplification - both in sound and construction.
The Final AFM100 Special Edition Monophonic Amplifier is a Class A Reference Monophonic Power Amplifier, incorporating all the cornerstones of Riviera amplifiers: Zero Overall Feedback, a Hybrid design (valves for voltage amplification, solid-state devices for power), and Pure Class A operation. The AFM100 SE offers 100W into 8 ohms in Class A (200W into 4 ohms) and is able to drive loudspeakers with the utmost naturalness.
The voltage amplification is entrusted to a pure triode operating in Class A in the most linear manner possible, while the power section employs a total of 20 devices, each capable of dissipating 150 Watts of power.
The power section’s power supply, which uses an oversized transformer of over 500VA, employs a refined inductive pigreco filter and distributed capacitance; the total filter capacity is over 130,000uF. The deliberate absence of current-limiting systems ensures the amplifier’s stability even when dealing with complex loads.
Its refinement and driving capabilities make it suitable for use in both single-amplification and multi-amplification systems.
