Riviera is a high-end manufacturer that makes some excellent amplifiers and RIAA. The elegant hybrid, Levante, is an excellent example of how the combination of tubes and transistors can deliver sound at the highest level. Levante is first and foremost an integrated amplifier, but it is also designed to be a headphone amplifier, and will be able to drive the best headphones on the market without hesitation.
Levante also offers several delights. It offers both the possibility of running in pure class A where it delivers 2 x 30 watts into 8 ohms, but it can also be switched to deliver 2 x 120 watts into 8 ohms class AB. In class AB, the first 6 watts are still in class A.
The circuit is built without the use of feedback, and with a very powerful, custom-built power supply. There is switching between class A and A/B directly on the front, and there is a balanced XLR input and 4 unbalanced. One input can be changed to a turntable by purchasing Riviera's separate MM board.
